Market update: Umeme stock price gains by 2.9% on Tuesday

The Umeme stock price gained 2.9% at the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) to close the trading day at sh440 per share.

The Umeme counter dealt a turnover of sh181m from 411,500 shares during the session to gain a 2.9% on its price according to market data from Crested Capital.

Overall, the bourse traded a total turnover of sh211m from 1.1 million shares moved across four active counters.

MTN traded sh15.3m from 90,200 shares increasing by 1.01% to sh169.69 and Stanbic exchanged sh15.1m from 3,000 shares adding 0.04% to its price to close at sh25.01.

Bank of Baroda was the least traded counter with sh45,000 from 600 shares at sh75.
