KAMPALA - As Christians around the world congregate in several places of worship to mark Easter Sunday, the day Jesus Christ rose from the grave, his sacrifice on the cross continues to be emphasised.
At Miracle Centre Cathedral in Rubaga, Pastor Robert Kayanja preached about the significance of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, emphasising his resurrection and ascension to heaven in his Easter Sunday summon.
Kayanja said Jesus obtained a sealed book containing seven blessings for humanity: power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory, and blessings.
In Christianity, Easter Sunday marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion.
It is celebrated as Resurrection Day, symbolising the fulfilment of Old Testament prophecies and God's plan for humanity's salvation.
