KAMPALA - William Kamishani and his wife Jolly, the directors and founders of Mirembe Junior School Namuwongo have renewed their marriage vows at their 40th marriage wedding anniversary.

This was at the Church of Resurrection Bugolobi, Nakawa Division in Kampala on Sunday (April 28, 2024).

Right Rev. George Katwesigye, the retired bishop of Kigezi presided over the confirmation of the Kamishanis assisted by Rev. Emmanuel Kalagala, and thanked the couple for training their children to love God, and also for introducing them to the covenant of the Lord.

The couple later received their guests at Silver Springs Hotel, Bugolobi in Kampala for a reception. 

In his sermon, KatwesigyeHe quoted a Biblical verse in the Old Testament when God got annoyed with parents who failed to play their role, thereby thanking the parents for grooming godly children.

He urged parents to ensure they instil discipline in their children so that they become obedient and grow up in the way of the Lord. 

Speaking about the couple's marriage, Bishop Katwesigye said he who finds a wife, obtains favour from God, according to the Bible. He said the Lord has been in the background of the couple's marriage for the last 40 years. 

The couple is blessed with four children, Daniel Twesigye, Doreen Musumba, Dennis Mushabe, and David Muzahura.

The function was attended by the Vision Group Editor-in-Chief, Barbara Kaija, and her husband Patrick Kaija.

Also present was the President of Mothers' Union, Elizabeth Caroline Kikoyo, who is also the President Christian Union Diocese of Kampala, and Prophet Brian Kagyezi, founder of Pneuma Word Ministries.
