Buddo SS handed tough Wisdom test in USSSA round of 16

The USSSA National boys’ football championship enters the round of 16 on Thursday at the hosting Masaka SS in Masaka City after a round of 32 stages that left some giants and perennial performers having their hands holding their faces in agony after exit.

The stage now is set for the teams’ yet another battle for the title and qualification to the FEASSA Games as the hopefuls take to the stage to prove their worth in the round of 16.

And one of the surprising triumphant competitors in the Wednesday round of 32, Wisdom High School from Kole district in Lango zone have their 5-4 penalty shootout win over Ndejje SS gifting them another challenge to prove their worth as they meet the 2018 national and FEASSSA games champion Buddo SS.

Buddo SS made a statement by beating fancied Bukedea Comprehensive 1-0 in a hotly contested round of 32 match.

Jinja SS who eliminated 10-time champions Kibuli SS in a 4-3 penalty shootout will have yet another hard test to prove as they meet title hopefuls Amus College.

Record winners St Mary’s Kitende take on Nakaseke International while the hosts Masaka SS whose 5-3 penalty shoot-out triumph over arch-rivals St Henry’s College Kitovu is still at the lips of the many local fans, meet Mukono Kings.
