Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College School will face each other on Saturday in the semifinals of the ongoing ISF Schools football World Cup in Dalian City, China.

The two Ugandan representatives won their respective quarterfinal battles on Friday, to reach the last four stages on their maiden appearance.

Bukedea Comprehensive had to come from a goal down to beat England 2-1, with Elvis Ssekajugo scoring in the 26th minute before Reagan Ssekisambu slotted in what turned out to be the winner after 47 minutes.

In the other semifinal, Amus College School needed pokicks from the penalty mark, to dispatch Turkey after the two sides played to a 2-2 normal time draw.

The Turks had also taken the lead before Hakim Musabbah restored parity and even when Devis Busulwa scored to put the Teso side ahead, Turkey still equalized and when they went into the decisive kicks, Amus triumphed 5-4.

The semifinal now pits the two Ugandan rivals against each other meaning Uganda is assured of a final spot.

The other semifinal was yet to be decided because, by press time, China 1 was playing China 3 while China 2 was up against Croatia.

Meanwhile, Uganda girls representatives Amus College could not advance even when they beat Canada 24-0 in their last group game.

Amus finished second to Brazil on goal difference after the South Americans dispatched Nigeria 5-0 to lead group C on top of Amus even when the two had similar points (10)

The Championship which started on Sunday last week and attracted over 40 boys and girls teams from different countries, climaxes on Sunday with finals and awards giving.
