KAMPALA - K-Roma producers of the natural organic Bella wine and juices has partnered with Vision Group for the Bride & Groom Virtual Expo.

The Expo is back this year. After over a year of the live event being off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this time Vision Group has organised it virtually under the theme “The Virtual Experience”.

The Ugandan made Bella wine which derives its name from the acronym of the company’s tag line: ‘Belief leads to everlasting achievement.’ has come on board to show couples intending to get married why they should serve their guests wine.

Prudence Ukkonika, the managing director, of Bella wine, said that serving guests especially wedding guests – alcohol could prove unwise. Intoxicated guests can puke on others, break glasses and even throw away cutlery.

“You, the host, could end up paying for these losses. It is, therefore, important to strike a balance between enough and too much alcohol. No alcohol at all could make for a very boring wedding but you can entertain your guests by serving them wine because it is calm,” noted Ukkonika.

Ukkonika said that when people take alcoholic drinks they bring out their bad characters which would have come out ten years back.

“If you serve your guests wine, they will be happy, their spirits will be raised. They will freely interact, dance, ululate and generally make the wedding lively. If it is valentine’s day do not give your loved one cards or flowers give them wine because wine is associated with love,” She noted.

She noted that Covid has affected the business but the good thing the longer the wine stays the better the taste.

“If you are proposing to someone make sure there is wine on the menu, if you are introducing your partner to your parents we can make for you branded wines and your function will look elegant. Some people especially partner aunts will take the wine as souvenirs,” Ukkonika said.

Ukkonika started the wine firm in 2000 as a small business selling affordable traditional wine. She was inspired by her departed son Godwin Ukkonika who left her with the vision for the potential of business after helping his uncle to produce wine in Kabale and sell it in Kampala.

The expo is running from September to October 3, 2021, dealing with topics like fashion, décor, wedding planning, venues, cake, jewellers, cars, honeymoon destinations and a lot more.

This time 10 couples stand a chance to win exciting prizes like gowns, cake, honeymoons to mention but a few.

For a decade, the Bride and Groom expo helped Ugandans to plan their weddings better, get the best wedding services including the best wedding decorations and gowns.
