PICTORIAL: Women parliamentarians elect leaders

Women parliamentarians under their umbrella body Uganda Parliamentary Women's Association (UWOPA) elected Tororo woman MP Sarah Opendi Achieng as their new chairperson and Woman MP Luwero district Brenda Nabukenya as their vice-chairperson.

Opendi promised to unite women and work for the cause of women in parliament.

This was during a heated election at Kabira Country Club in Bukoto on Friday night. Maria Wamala attended the election and brought you the pictures.
