A tale of an African brick layer who missed the divine purpose

When they are blasting the word of God in church, sometimes our people are always destructed by either thought, sometimes the hot hill shoe making noises, and they end up failing to grasp how God works in people.

While in Sentema Wakiso on his PDM assessment tours, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni stopped and greeted a man who was making bricks, who didn't understand the nature of the person who had left his comfort in the motorcade to go where he was burning his bricks to share with him his future progress. Instead the man from Masaka said that he earns 20,000/ daily. Something good, but not better.

This man failed to understand that one day he prayed and asked God to prosper him and start his own business which is sustainable so that he can as well employ others. This poor man didn't understand why some time God uprooted him from Masaka where God had initially planted him to a new place in Sentema where he would position him to meet God's messenger called General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who was to transform him from a wage earner getting crumbs to an established entrepreneur.

The faithful God who shifted him to Sentema wanted him to testify how God works through people to manifest to us. President Museveni might not be an ordinary man but a divine messenger of God who touches the poor through PDM, EMYOOGA, ONC EMPOWERMENT tools program, industrial Skilling hubs, among others. Have you ever asked yourself why our President is not an arm chair leader like others on the continent? God's call to him became a mission to transform his great African continent.

All different faiths believe God works through people to achieve his divine purpose and to demonstrate his presence and will in the world. This involves God directly influencing individuals or using instruments or policy such as PDM to carry out specific tasks.

The divine purpose in wealth creation can be traced in His processes. God's placement of people like President Museveni can never be arbitrary. It was part of God's divine plan to work in and through Ugandans. Unfortunately, the brick layer was simply adamant and didn't realise the potential that had come before him in President Museveni.

Sometimes it might be difficult to realize that you have a messenger from God instantly, but we should be fast to digest the atmosphere and environment of our visitors and interprete their divine nature. Some of us have learnt to embrace the people who God sends into our lives which has elevated us to better opportunities.

In the Bible we ought to understand the people who adjusted quickly when they saw God's messenger. For example, Lot and his family where initially unaware that two men visiting them were angels.

Similarly, Peter in the book of Acts was miraculously freed from prison by an angel but initially believed that he had seen a vision not a real event

While Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist was visited by angel Gabriel, the text indicates that he didn't fully grasp the significance of the angel and struggled to believe it.

In actual sense, the brick layer had to explain to the President that he plans to buy a machine for burning bricks which uses less energy to save and reduce the environment impact of cutting down trees for firewood. As an environment crusader, this would sink deeper in the President's artilleries. Then the President would definitely appreciate how this man intends to employ himself but also creates more jobs for others. This rhythm better in his pursuit to eradicate household poverty. The unfortunate bit is that the brick layer could not fathom it that way, which made his guest to assume that all is ok, yet it was deception.

In summary, our President has a divine mission. This is evident in his strong sense of passion and purpose in the field, his willingness to serve others and feeling of connection to something larger than himself. When he appears to us often, let us realize very fast that God has sent us someone to transform us by presenting to him viable proposals.
