The 2023 Digital Impact Awards Africa nominees have been officially unveiled by HiPipo. The list of nominees marks the culmination of a process that began in mid-July, involving numerous entries.

The unveiling of the shortlisted nominees heralds the commencement of the voting phase, which will continue until November 17, 2023. Although all nominees are considered winners, the ultimate victors within each category will be determined through a combination of public and jury voting.

Scheduled for November 17, 2023, at the Kampala Serena Hotel, the 10th edition of the Digital Impact Awards Africa is set to coincide with the annual Digital and Financial Inclusion Summit.

The platform is dedicated to championing digital inclusion, financial inclusion, and cybersecurity, while also recognising and celebrating entities that employ digital channels to serve communities, irrespective of their scale or origin.

The Digital and Financial Inclusion Summit will delve into the strategic trends and technologies shaping the future of digital, ICTs, and business, with a particular focus on customer fund security and platform safety in the Digital Financial Services landscape.

The 2023 summit will bring together stakeholders, including C-level executives, policymakers, young entrepreneurs, and innovators within the Digital and Financial Inclusion domain.

With over 50 speakers representing various sectors, from government to startups, the summit promises to address topics such as business recovery post-COVID-19 disruption and cybersecurity threats. It also offers a platform for informal businesses, including market vendors, smallholder farmers, and sole proprietors.

The Digital Impact Awards Africa and Digital and Financial Inclusion Summit are jointly organized by HiPipo, in collaboration with partners like Level One Project, Mojaloop Foundation, INFITX, Cyberplc Academy, Ideation Corner, and Crosslake Technologies, with generous support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
