Activities started with a thanksgiving mass presided over by the Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese, the Most Rev Paul Ssemogerere, who interestingly is an alumnus of the school.

St Maria Goretti Secondary School Katende (fondly referred to as SMAGOK) marked its 57th anniversary during a colorful function that took place at the school in Mpigi district on
