The Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC) has tipped the general public about the importance of acquiring legal documentation.

UPPC is participating at the three-day New Vision Education Expo organised by Vision Group, which ends on Sunday at the Uganda Institute of Information and Communication Technology in Nakawa.

The expo has been themed: 'Where Education and the World of Employment Meet'.

Rebecca Nyakairu, UPPC’s spokesperson, said the team is on the ground at the expo to educate every Ugandan about the various legislations and the procedures to fulfill if they want to publish information in the Uganda Gazette, the official government newspaper of record.

Through this, they will be bringing the corporation's services closer to the general public.

"We are delighted to take part in the exhibition - to strengthen and build new relations with all stakeholders, including the education sector. All this is geared towards operationalising our publishing function,” she said.

According to her, UPPC is the only government institution mandated to publish Uganda’s laws as they are passed by parliament.

“UPPC offers exceptional printing services in areas of commercial printing for both public and private entities. Here at the exhibition, we are selling various updated/recent legal publications at discounted prices,” she added.

UPPC is located at Entebbe Airport road with outlets in Kampala, Jinja, Mbarara, Fort portal, Mbale, Gulu, Hoima, among others.
