Singer Grace Khan’s concert which was supposed to take place on May 19, 2024 at Climax Entertainment Hub in Makindye, Kampala has been postponed.

The concert that was announced in February was warmly welcomed by fans and fellow artistes who promised her support and guidance.

In an interview, Khan confessed that singer Cindy Sanyu even offered her her band and backup artistes to help her with rehearsals.

Khan abruptly postponed the concert to a date she has not revealed, remaining silent on why she pulled the move.

The former Da Nu Eagles singer went on and apologised to the artistes who stood with her and appeared on her poster. Some such as Sasha Brighton, Maureen Nantume, Chosen Becky and Bettina Namukasa had offered to perform free of charge.

Khan further apologised to Mzee Lule Manager Pakalast, the proprietor of Climax Entertainment Hub,  who had given her a free space and venue to host her concert.

However, in an interview, Lule said he did not know anything about the cancellation of the show. He advised Khan,  who is behind songs such as Nenoonya and Alivawa, to remain focused and never to lose hope.

Kojja Kitonsa, Khan's former manager, said she could not sustain the costs that came with the concert.

He alleged that the artiste was banking on sponsors to fulfil their promises, which did not happen.

Kitonsa advised Khan to never give up, saying she has the capacity, good music and experience to organise a concert.

In an earlier interview, Grace Khan mentioned singer Big Eye as the person who advised her to stage a concert.

"There is always next time of doing something. It does not matter how many times she failed. What matters is the times she will succeed, that she still have the time ,she is young and energetic she can still make it," Big Eye urged.
