Reflection:

The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls' Day) is observed to:
- Honor the deceased: Remember and pray for loved ones who have passed away.
- Seek purification: Help the souls of the departed through prayer and Masses, seeking to reduce their time in purgatory.
- Celebrate the communion of saints: Affirm the connection between the living and the deceased, recognizing the "communion of saints" in the Catholic faith.

These practices are rooted in Catholic doctrine and tradition, emphasizing the importance of prayer and remembrance for the deceased.
