Parents and leaders should work together to train the young people morally, Florence Kyomya, the wife of the bishop of Busoga Diocese, , has said. “We should not fold our hands when our children are wasting away. We should challenge our leaders to fight vices among the young people,” she said. Kyomya made the remarks while addressing the new Mothers Union members at Christ’s Cathedral in Bugembe on Sunday. She said many parents spend their time looking for money and end up neglecting their children.

Katakwi in food security drive
Katakwi district leaders have embarked on a food security campaign. A team led by the resident district commissioner, Joseph Arwata, is moving around the district sensitising the stakeholders to mobilise the population to increase production. Katakwi is one of the districts in Teso sub-region, which are usually badly hit by food shortage due to disasters like drought and floods.
