On Sunday, May 5, 2024, musician Ronald Alimpa returned to his mother in Masaka to seek forgiveness. After insulting his mother, Teopista Namuddu, about two years ago, the Seen Don hitmaker started moving from one misfortune to another.

He said seeking forgiveness was the only way he could remove the curse she had laid on him.

On September 29, 2022, Alimpa was involved in an accident in which many lost their lives, but he survived.  He expressed regret at not being able to visit the families of the deceased since he has been bedridden for long time.

During the process of healing, Alimpa fell in the bathroom and sustained a fracture.

Further more, Alimpa got into financial woes.

During a phone interview on Tuesday, May 7,  he appreciated God for the second chance at life.

Alimpa said God wanted him to learn from the recent experiences, saying if God did not love him, he would have been dead.

He said he was tired of all the bad occurences in his life, where he even left work due to stress and depression caused by the girlfriend that he loved so much.

“I  decided to let her go. Our relationship is no more. I even got another woman. Even if she comes back, I will not take her back. I am focusing on my new girlfriend. I am not scared anymore. I  will work hard and shine again. The money will come back. I am sure she will admire me as she did at first. She is a liar. She had promised to love me in any condition, but when the money disappeared, she left me while I was on the sick bed,” Alimpa emphasised.

He further asked the public to forgive him for any wrongdoing and as well, he sought forgiveness from God.

"I am on good terms with my family. My grudge with my mother, which was caused by my ex-girlfriend, is over. My mother forgave me, and is on my side. We talk on phone every day. She has done a lot as a parent to guide and counsel me, which has helped me to recover. She is my mother, I will never get another mother and I love her so much,” Alimpa said.

During a phone interview with Namudddu on Tuesday, May 7, she said she did not have any reason not to forgive her son.

"I love my son so much. I did all I used to do back in the hospital because I loved him and I wanted him to change his behaviour. When he changed and realised his wrongdoing, I had to let it go. I have  always been praying for him to change. I  prayed to God to take away his  bad friends and the power of darkness. I am sure God heard my prayers and now my son is reasoning normally. I pray to  God to continue  protecting my son from any danger. I even crossed out all the curses that I  had laid on him due anger. I only request that when he resumes his duties successfully, he should buy for me a plot of land and a cow so that I can take milk on a daily,” she said.

On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, we talked Pastor Patrick Kuniihira of The Pillars of Africa Children's Ministry in Wakiso district to seek his opinion regarding the matter.

He started off by quoting a scripture  Proverbs 6:20-22, which says: "My son, keep your father's commands and do not forsake your mother's teaching. Bind them upon your heart forever; fasten them around your neck. When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you."

Kuniihira advised children, regardless of their age, size, income and status to  respect their parents and consider their advice.

He, however, discouraged parents from cursing their children.

"Please, parents, you need to know that you are gods. Once you are a parent,  endeavour not to  use hard words on your children because you are gods on earth and whatever you say can happen in the life of your children. Prophesy good things about your children,” Kunihiira added.
