If the proposal is implemented, those to benefit include 72,000 LC1 chairpersons; 10,594 LC2 chairpersons as well as councillors and chairpersons of the 2,197 sub-counties across the country.

KAMPALA - After receiving peanuts for years, local government leaders now have a reason to smile after President Yoweri Museveni intervened and directed the Minister of Local Government
