MOSAC overturns Sebuguzi's Jinja Rally win, hands Omar victory
Omar Mayanja's successful petition handed him the Jinja MOSAC Rally victory on Saturday in Jinja.
Mayanja navigated by Hussein Mukuye in a Mitsubishi Evo10 had finished second, but petitioned organisers claiming that they were blocked and delayed in the second stage and lost time.
Upon hearing the petition, the stewards compensated with a minute and 40 seconds which elevated Mayanja to the first position and relegated the provisional result winner Ronald Sebuguzi to the second position and Fred Busulwa to the third position.

This didn’t go on well with Busulwa who knew that by the results provisional results he could remain second overall on the National Rally Championship standings.
“We were all blocked in the stage and lost time. Why do they give only Omar an advantage, is it because they are the ones in charge of the federation,” an annoyed driver queried.
However, Mukuye explained that they did not petition but just told the organisers to consider the rule that is applied in case a stage is blocked.
