Teams registering low scores as USSSA Ball games continue in Lira

The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Associations (USSSA) Ball games II entered day two of action on Monday with athletes competing in netball, handball, rugby 7s, volleyball, woodball, basketball 3*3, football U16 and dance sport.

The action saw some teams without scores in some games with such happening in netball where Ahmadayi walloped Kapchorwa SS 48-0 and Bulo Parents committed Bukedea comprehensive to 38-1 as front runners St Noa, Buddo SS, St Mary’s Kitende continued with their fine form, winning their day’s games.

In basketball 3*3, St Mary’s Kitende walloped Hana Mixed 21-0 with Buddo SS also registering a 21-0 win over St Katherine.

In Rugby boys, Jinja SSS beat Mbarara High 47-5, Kiira Coll were 12-0 winners over St Mary’s College Kisubi, London College beat Sir Samuel Baker 14-12, Ntare School beat Kijjabwemi 24-0 while Hana International beat Dr. Obote 20-0.

There were also games in handball boys and girls, volleyball boys and girls, woodball, dance sport competitions and football U-16 for both boys and girls.

The competition that will last for a week, has attracted 4500 athletes from 250 teams competing in basketballm rugby 7s, netball, woodball, dance sport, volleyball and also athletics that is starting tomorrow.

According to the organisers, the games will officially be opened on Tuesday with the official opening ceremony at Dr Obote College Boroboro in the afternoon.
