She Cranes Captain  Peace Proscovia will not play the rest of the Vitality Netball League season for Surrey Storm on medical grounds.

This news comes at the busiest point in the season for the current top scorer with 520 goals whose club is third in the Vitality Netball super league standings.

Her club released a statement that emphasized Peace will remain a part of the Bartercard Surrey Storm squad/family for the rest of this season and will continue her commitments off the court.

Team coach Mikki Austin praised the Ugandan and admitted they would welcome her back to the court at a later date.

“As well as being a world-class netballer, Proscovia Peace is also an incredible human being. Peace still firmly remains a huge part of Surrey Storm in an off-court capacity, and we look forward to continuing the journey with Peace at a later stage,” said Director of Netball and Head Coach Mikki Austin.

This news isn't positive for the She Cranes who lost Stella Oyella who plays for the Strathclyde Sirens to an ACL injury. Without Proscovia it could be really bad for Uganda at the World Cup in South Africa.
