Nelson Ssenkatuka wins November Real Stars award

Bright Stars FC forward Nelson Senkatuuka believes winning the November Real Stars Award is going to be a stepping stone in the rejuvenation of his career as he aims to take his side to greater heights in the league.

Ssenkatuuka said this on Tuesday while receiving his Real Stars award at Lazio in Kololo.

Senkatuuka scored five goals in three games, helping Bright Stars collect seven points and are currently 11th in the league with 11 points.

“This is a timely boost as I look forward to regaining my form and helping my side rise to the summit of the table,” Senkatuuka stated.

Ssenkatuuka beat SC Villa’s Ronald Ssekiganda and Norman Angufinduru to the award.

While at the event, Resty Mbatidde Fortebet assistant spokesperson commended the step taken by the Real Stars Sports Agency for awarding outstanding sports personalities.

 

“Coming out to award outstanding athletes who have excelled is a way of motivating them and promoting sports development,” Mbatidde stated.

In other categories, Brian Masaba beat Alpesh Ramjan and Dinesh Nasrani in the cricket category for helping the Cricket Cranes qualify for their first-ever T20 World Cup to be held next year in the USA and West Indies.

Peace Lekuru beat Heathens Rugby Club Aaron Ofoyrwoth and Ivan Magomu from Pirates. After an impressive down with the rugby women's 7s at the safari 7s in Nairobi.

City Oilers Titus Odeke Lual beat teammates Tony Drileba and Fayed Bbale after an impressive show at the BAL Championships in Johannesburg with 32 points total, 8 points per game, with 6 rebounds.

Ceaser Chandinga from Gulu Pool Club won the pool category beating Azali Lukomwa after winning the Pool open last month.

Muzamir Ssemuddu won the boxing category beating Swalik Kisitu and Farahat Manilola. Ssemuddu beat Isaac Zebra Ssenyange Jr in a tightly contested Champions League bout in November.

Real Star Sports Agency Director Isac Mukasa has vowed to award more excelling athletes in various sports disciplines as a motivational factor.

“We pledge to continue rewarding athletes who are flying high the flag of the nation in various aspects, and hope to organize a mega closing ceremony come the end of this month.”

Jude Color Solutions promotions manager Henry Zzimbe commended the athletes for exhibiting outstanding talent.

“We are determined to promote sports development through sponsoring   initiatives like the Real Stars Awards, this makes us  able to give back to the public and the excelling athletes in particular.”
