Ugandan netball players continue to demonstrate exceptional skill and determination in their pursuit of victory within the Vitality Netball Super League.

On Saturday, Mary Nuba displayed her prowess as Loughborough Lightning triumphed over Serven Stars with a commanding score of 68:52.

Once again, Nuba established herself as a force to be reckoned with, netting an impressive 48 goals out of Loughborough's 68, securing her team's eighth win of the season. With this stellar performance, Nuba solidified her position at the top of the scoring table, amassing a remarkable 422 goals thus far.

Nuba's outstanding performance serves as a resounding declaration of her determination to defend the top scorer accolade she claimed last year. Nuba reaffirms her status as a formidable competitor, leaving no doubt about her intent to secure yet another triumph in the realm of netball excellence.

Meanwhile, in another thrilling encounter on Friday, goal shooter Peace Proscovia and goalkeeper Haniisha Muhammeed delivered standout performances for Surrey Storm as they secured a decisive 62:48 victory against Strathclyde Sirens. Proscovia's contribution of 33 goals propelled Storm to their fourth win of the season, while Muhammeed's defensive prowess thwarted the Sirens' attempts to score, with two interceptions, three rebounds, and nine gained possessions.

As the league standings currently show, Loughborough Lightning sits in second place with 24 points, trailing behind Manchester Thunder. Surrey Storm holds the sixth position with 12 points.

Should Nuba clinch this season's top scorer accolade, it would mark her third triumph after previous victories in 2023 and 2021. Her consistent dominance on the court continues to elevate the sport and inspire netball enthusiasts worldwide.
