SC Villa coach Dusan Stojanovic is alarmed by his team’s failure to score goals this season.

Stojanovic was speaking after he was named the best coach for March and April during the Pilsner Lager Uganda Premier League monthly awards held on Monday evening at Kati Kati Restaurant along Lugogo By-pass.

"Strikers are the most paid players in the world, not only in Uganda. This is something we need to address. In training sessions, players normally perform well and that's why we rely on them on match days. I know with time we shall be where we want them to be," he stated.

To win the accolade, Stojanovic guided SC Vila to two wins and two draws in the four games he was in charge. He won the accolade ahead of Maroons' Mohammed Senfuma and NEC's Hussein Mbalangu.

Maroons forward, Fred Amaku who scored three goals, created one assist, and won one man-of-match accolade in five games was the best player for March and April. Amaku won the award ahead of KCCA's Muhammad Shaban and Vipers' Allan Okello promised to finish the season on a high note.

"This is a big motivation and I want to thank my teammates and technical team for their support. This is going to push me to finish the season on a high note. My target is to make sure I be the top scorer of the league," noted Amaku.

The two sides apart from walking away from the accolades also received sh1m as a cash prize.
