Vienna Titans extended their unbeaten run with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Taibah Olympians in Matchday Five of the International Schools Alumni League.
Before kickoff at Vienna College Namugongo, players and fans observed a moment of silence in memory of Marvin "Boyo" Beine, a former student of the host school. The tribute underscored the league’s shared spirit of unity and respect.
The decisive goal came in the first half, when Anslem Nasasira threaded a pass to Trevor Zziwa, who found the back of the net with a brilliant finish. Zziwa, alongside Emma Lukoma, Aijuka Alvin, and Anslem, drove Vienna’s attack with intensity, keeping constant pressure on the Olympians’ defence.
On the other end, Vienna’s backline stood firm. Nehemiah Mishereko, Jotham Mugisha, Richard Magezi, and goalkeeper Ronnie Kasujja worked in sync to keep Taibah at bay, with midfield cover from Alvin Kashillingi. The defining moment came late in the game when Taibah was awarded a penalty, but Kasujja made a crucial save to preserve the lead and secure a clean sheet.
“We knew it wouldn’t be easy. Taibah pushed us all the way, but we stayed together and got the job done,” Kasujja reflected.
Despite the intensity, the match ended on a warm note, continuing a tradition of camaraderie between the Titans and Olympians—whose post-match interactions reaffirm the league’s commitment to friendship and sportsmanship.
