Kenyan sides dominate as Equity and Chema VC storm into NSSF KAVC semifinals

Equity VC from Kenya stormed into the semifinals of the NSSF KAVC Volleyball Tournament at Lugogo after sweeping aside Police VC of Uganda in straight sets. The Kenyans maintained control throughout the contest, winning 25-22, 25-22, and 25-18.

 

Another Kenyan side, Chema VC, also secured their place in the last four with a dominant 3-0 victory over Burundi’s Rukinzo VC. Chema had to dig deep to claim the first set 28-26, before comfortably sealing the next two 25-17 and 25-22.

 

KCCA fought back from a shaky start to edge Rwanda’s Police VC in a thrilling five-set battle. After losing the opening set 11-25, KCCA regrouped to take the next two 25-19, 25-19. Police forced a decider by winning the fourth 25-18, but the Ugandans held their nerve to clinch the tie 15-12 in the final set.

 

Hosts KAVC Chazpir were in ruthless form as they swept St. Charles Lwanga Ntinda in straight sets. The Lugogo-based side won 25-14, 25-13, and 25-13 to book their semifinal slot in style.

 

In the women’s quarterfinals of the ongoing NSSF KAVC Volleyball tournament at Lugogo, Rwanda Revenue Authority overcame Uganda’s VVC with a 3-1 victory. After edging the first set 25-23, the Ugandans leveled matters in the second with a 25-20 win. However, RRA regained control to claim the next two sets 25-23 and 25-16, sealing their place in the semifinals.

 

 

 

KAVC A found the going tough against APR, falling in straight sets. The Rwandan side held firm to take the opening set 25-18 before snatching a narrow 26-24 win in the second. They wrapped up the contest with another 25-18 triumph in the third.

 

Rwanda National Police also enjoyed a dominant display, cruising past Uganda’s Kampala University 3-0. They commanded every set with scores of 25-17, 25-15, and 25-15 to book their semifinal slot in style.
