After adding aerobic sessions before the other games, the Corporate Games management has brought on board a medical partner C-Care to ensure the continued well-being of their members.

Corporate Games chairman Ian Rumanyika unveiled the new partner during the games’ third outing at Kyambogo on Sunday.

He said the new medical partners that were represented by Dr Miriam Matero the general manager C-Care IHK and Sheila Aboth the marketing manager C-Care IMC; have been participants but have now come on board to offer health medical camps and sensitise the corporates on their well-being.

They have also offered an ambulance that will be on standby at every outing of the games to handle any emergencies and bruises during the games at every outing.

“We appreciate them for coming on board. As Corporate Games we commit to continue to ensure that only employees from the subscribed companies get on the pitch in order to protect our corporates from mercenaries,” Rumanyika said.

“The main objective of the games is to ensure that corporates that spend most of their time behind the desks can come here and keep fit, keep healthy and also network. The games provide a platform for marketing and creating awareness of what companies do and provide and also offers a platform from where employees can keep engaged and team build with one another.”

Matero said they were happy to have joined the games as official medical partners because they were running a campaign ‘systems steady’ aimed at ensuring that all corporate people have steady systems by doing their wellness checkups which they are bringing to the games.

“We shall do a number of medical health camps to be able to check their blood pressure, BMI, and blood sugar, among others as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility. We want to be a responsible corporate by helping them check how healthy they are, and we should be able to deliver a healthy message, especially on prevention and lifestyle that will ensure we live longer,” Matero stated.

She said C-Care will run different themes on different health issues at every outing to encourage people to live healthily and change their lifestyles and especially take care of their mental health.
