It was Friday night and the mood was right. Cindy, as she has for done for over 20 years, turned up for a musical performance- nothing unusual.

Cropped pants, leather jacket, Jungle boots, the crowd at Munyonyo’s Fusion Auto Spa, eagerly awaited her steady dance hall flow on the microphone, which has seen her christened “The King herself”.

The 37-year-old singer, who is a mother of a 6-month-old daughter never performed immediately. She took time off to chastise a 9-year-old performer, Rema Kirabo a.k.a Rema K.  The child performer was writhing on the floor in a manner that would have made Sheebah Karungi envious.   It was past midnight.

Cindy’s motherly instinct saw her throw a lecture about child performers.  With the public divided on Cindy’s lecture, the singer has come out and blasted the Uganda Musician Association (UMA) president. She says she felt disrespected.   She also insists that if Cindy really meant well for her and her career the lecture would have happened backstage.

The singer, a pupil of Gombe Junior School claims it is fate that makes her perform at night as she has to male ends meet and fend for her family.  She concludes that Cindy is bad hearted
