UGANDA'S upcoming chess star Elijah Emojing was yesterday involved in a third successive draw in the week-long Zone 4.2 Africa Chess Championship that ends on Sunday in Khartoum, Sudan.

The sixth round draw against Sudanese Asim Ale Eladid follows two back-to-back draws for Emojong.

The Ugandan is now at 3.5 points with just three games left as he struggles to reach six points to qualify for an International Master (IM) title.

In the ladies action, Goretti Angolikin also recovered from an earlier defeat against Egypt’s Merham Mahmood to beat Ruy Alizabeth of Sudan.
