Chuol Nyot snatched a game-high 22 points and 13, claiming man-of-match honours, to lead the Namuwongo Blazers to an 85-56 National Basketball League victory over Rezlife on Sunday at Lugogo.

Nyot did all the damage inside the paint, finishing 9-of-15 from the field goals and 4-of-9 from the free throw line.

Peter Cheng and Geoffrey Soro nailed 16 and 12 points respectively for the Blazers, who bounced back from Friday's 57-51 reverse against the City Oilers.

Rezlife were led by Michael Otieno, scorer of a team-high 19 points on 6-of-14 shooting, with Timothy Thok adding 12 points.

Rezlife fell to 1-5 for the season, while Namuwongo improved to 4-2.

For the Kampala Rockets, the weekend brought a first win of the campaign, a 55-53 victory over D'Mark Power.

Emmanuel Okumu led the Rockets with a team-high 14 points, with Ku Garang and Adut Mayer adding 13 and 10 points respectively.

Guellord Mobanza scored a game-high 18 points for Power, now 2-4 for the season. The Rockets are 1-2.

Meanwhile, the City Oilers completed the first round unbeaten after thrashing the Ndejje Angels 79-59. 

Ruai Luak continued his tear with another game-high scoring display, dropping 26. Titus Lual marked his return with a double double - 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Ivan Muhewzi scored 11 points for the Oilers, who are headed to the Basketball Africa League with a 10-0 record.

Jonathan Oketch nailed a team-high 15 points for Ndejje, while Joseph Ayol grabbed 13 points and 12 rebounds. Bolton Rujumba scored 12 points for the Angels, who are now 2-4.
