Netball teams receive trophies

Prisons Netball Club, WOB and UGISA netball club finally put their hands on their respective trophies during the awarding ceremony that took place at Climax Makindye on Thursday Night.

With the 2023/2024 league expected to kick off later this month, it was only right to reward the winners of the Super Division, Men’s Netball League and the Women's Division II respectively.

The three teams were treated to a good dinner and a bit of dancing as the night came to an end. Acting UNF president was very integral in making this happen and told teams to savor this moment.

“I know we had not had this awarding ceremony but God had passed that we had it today and we have had it. A lot of things have been said but we all know that without the league we would not have netball,” said acting Uganda Netball Federation president brig. Flavia Byekwaso.

The three teams were given their trophies and medals. Bwekwaso also told the attendees that the sport had been awarded sh320m for the upcoming year but the hope is to change that.
