IN PICTURES: New National Basketball League season tips off

The National Basketball League tipped off at Lugogo on Friday with perennial contenders, the KIU Titans, losing out to the Nam Blazers 69-53.

The action had earlier started with newbies JT Jaguars beating Livingstone 70-53 before the KIU Rangers edged the JT Lady Jaguars 61-57 in overtime.

It promises to be a closely contested competition over the year if the opening results are anything to go by. Michael Nsubuga captured some of the action.
