Kampala City BSC continued to show why they are the team that can break the dominance of three-time FUFA Beach Soccer League champions St Lawrence BSC will another dominant 7-1 win over stubborn Buganda Royal at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
Four goals from Ambrose Kigozi, a brace from the league's top scorer Paul Kato, and a Douglas Muganga strike were enough to hand the league leaders their record eighth consecutive league win of the campaign.
Despite conceding a late goal from a set piece from Ambrose Alele, Ivan Kulika's men remain the only team that has not dropped a single point in the first 8 league matches.
"I am happy that we are still intact as a team that can still score many goals. But the league still has many matches to play for," said Kulika.
Elsewhere, MS Sand Lions defeated Kiringente BSC 5-3 in an eight-goal thriller thanks to goals from Abbey Kavuma(2), Yusuf Joloba, Boniface Apamaku, and an own goal from Derrick Mengo.
Kiringente BSC then made a comeback in their second match where they defeated Kampala Junior Team KJT BSC 8-4 thanks to Junior Kagezi who netted 7 goals adding to Marvin Mugerwa.
A hattrick from Ali Wamagale and a goal from Fred Aswa were simply not enough to help KJT BSC make any heroic comeback.
