Rally driver John Consta has vowed to give the big boys a run for their money in the next rally season.

Consta who acquired a Ford Fiesta proto has started training and contemplating racing in Masaka if he feels he is ready to challenge the country’s top drivers including Duncan ‘Kikankane’ Mubiru, Ronald Sebuguzi, Yasin Nasser, and Byron Rugomoka.

Consta commonly known as the speed master is well known for his heavy foot on the peddle and in the past has given top racers including Arthur Blick Jr, Desh Kananura, Sebuguzi, and Duncan Mubiru a run for their money.

Notable is the 2015 Mountain of Moon rally in Fort Portal that saw the Blick Jr and Consta tie but later in the board room Blick was declared the winner thus ending up as that year’s National rally champion.

“At the moment we are fine, the car is good but more powerful and we are just learning it. We are yet to decide whether to attack Masaka on Saturday and Sunday, August 11-13, 2023 or not but what you should know is that for us we are fit,” Consta told Vision Sport.

The SMC rally in Masaka is the fifth round of the national rally championship (NRC).
