St Lawrence still unbeaten in FUFA Beach Soccer League
FUFA Beach soccer league's reigning champions St Lawrence BSC continued to show why they are the team to beat on the day that saw five matches produce 60 goals, the highest ever match day score.
St. Lawrence BSC extended their unbeaten run to 13 league matches following their two big wins.
Brian Nkuubi continued to push for the top scorers crown after netting five goals as his rival Baker Lukooya who netted 4 as St Lawrence BSC thrashed KJT BSC 14-4.
Other goals for the four-time champions were netted by Martin Kikambi(2), Rica Byaruhanga(2), and Sharif Lubega(1).
KJT BSC though netted through Reagan Ssekyanzi(2), Adrian Jonathan, and Marvin Feni.
Lukooya's brace and a goal each from Brian Nkuubi, Jonathan Kikonyogo, Rica Byaruhanga, and two own goals from Joseph Kiddu and Steven Kitumba had St Lawrence BSC thrash bottom side Grace Church 7-4 in a game that cemented their stay at the top of the league.
But Ivan Kulika's Kampala City BSC(30 points) continued to pile pressure on the league leaders with a resounding 11-2 win over newcomers Mengo Hill.
The league's leading top goal scorer Paul Lule netted 6 goals as other goals came from Sharif Opuuli (2), Ashiraf Mugumira, Herbert Onyango, and Steven Odongo as the City boys cut St Lawrence BSC's (34 points) lead at the top of the league to four points with three outings left before the playoffs.
