Can Pasuwa beat Sebuguzi in the MOSAC Rally?

The MOSAC Rally gets underway on Saturday in Bukandula Gomba, district with the 2WD champion Ibrahim Lubega looking to upset top National Rally Championship drivers. 

It will be the first rally in Gomba after two Autocross events organized by the same club early this year and last year.

Ronald Sebuguzi is also looking to win the MOSAC Rally to finish second overall in the NRC. 

Yasin Nasser who is targeting the Africa Rally Championship (ARC) title in Zambia this weekend, won the NRC after winning the Southern Motorsport Rally which was the fifth round of the NRC in Masaka.   

Twenty-one drivers will hit the stages this morning in the Gomba starting with the 24km Kabenge stage. 

However, the battle for the second position between Sebuguzi, Ibrahim Lubega, and Duncan Mubiru is what this rally a more back-breaking rally.

Lubega (238.5 points) who also won the 2WD title after winning the SMC rally in Masaka is trailing Sebuguzi by 11.5 points and targets victory to finish second on the NRC.

The MOSAC rally will cover 45.6km on Saturday in the three stages of the Kabenge stage (24km), the Festo stage(18km), and the Super Special stage (3.6km) held in Gomba at the Kabenge Motorsport track.

Then on Sunday, the competition will head to Sembabule where competitors will battle it out in four stages totaling 69km.

They include the Toyota stage (12km), Hajji Gombe stage (11km), Sodo stage(28km), and George Kikere stage (18km).

In the 2WD category, Ibrahim Lubega won the 2WD category with two events remaining to the end of the calendar.
